F.R. Counts's General Store in Lindell, VA. @ 1950s (Cr:Polly Counts)

* Research indicates F.R. Counts purchased this store building possibly after 1925, from George L.C. Wimmer, who was my maternal great-grandfather , and who once lived in a now abandoned house to the left of the store. My great-uncle, Philip Snead Barnett, (son of William Garrett & Tabitha Little Barnett),  lived  a few hundred yards south on rt80 and his house still stands as well. The Counts lived in a brick house northwest of the Rich Valley Road and route 80 intersection and a small church near there was built on property donated by the Counts family. F.R. Counts was married to my great-aunt, Cora Hessie Barnett, (one daughter of my paternal great-grandparents, William Garrett  and Tabitha Little Barnett.) Polly Francisco Counts who allowed me to copy this pic, was the daughter-in-law of F.R. & Cora Counts, having wed their son, Albert Vernon " Frosty" Counts.
